I often wonder what the goal is in a learning situation. It is rarely about learning and generally about the need of the mentor to express their expertise. This one is taken from real life. I heard this during a feedback session. Instead of giving a useful critique, the VC sought ways to diminish the start up teams (thereby elevating himself). To all accelerator partners out there wondering what happened to the hearty creative spirit in your charges, the answer might be closer than you think….
